This is race day time line and info sheet for all volunteers at package pickup on Saturay and Race Day, Sunday. Please read it carefully prior to race day.
Teams and Duties Outline
All great events have one thing in common, great volunteers. This event is no different
and we can really use your help to make this year’s event one of the best. As a
volunteer you will receive the following as a token of our appreciation for all your hard
work and dedication to this event. Thanks in advance for volunteering! You are going
to have a great time! If you are under 18 years old and want to volunteer please
make sure you have a parent or guardian sign the Volunteer Consent Form. To volunteer

Pre-Race Meeting to be announced soon
This meeting is for course review and task assignments. will be about 30 minutes Pre-Race Package Pick-Up ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Race Day Positions Needed Volunteers will answer vendor questions regarding booth set up locations, help Two teams of 6 Volunteers will direct Vendor Only vehicles into designated parking Volunteers will assist timing company with race timing issues only, help athletes at We will have 7 teams of 6 volunteers at each aid station to hand out water and Volunteers will set up directional signage / banners on race course prior to the race Volunteers will help clean up all the debris left by the athletes, pick up any event

Saturday April 17, 2010 Time 2:00 - 6:00 pm
Volunteers will help athletes with last minute registration, timing chip check in,
goodie bag pick-up and answer any questions participants may have about the
event. Info sheets will be given to each volunteer for easy reference.
Sunday April 18, 2010>>>>>>> 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Vendor Expo Team: (10 needed) 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
set up vendor canopy if needed, and answer general questions about the race day
schedule.
Traffic Control Team: (12 needed) 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
area and keep non vendors out. The first team is from 6-9 and the second team is
9-11:30.
Finish Line and Timing Company Team: (15 needed) 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
the finish line with chip removal, direct athletes to recovery area, alert medical
personnel if an athlete requires special attention, and place finisher’s medals on all
Half Marathon finishers.
Aid Station Teams: (42 needed) 7:30 a.m. to Noon
recovery drink. Volunteers will set up the water table, hand out water, and clean
up the area once the last runner has passed.
Race Course Team: (8 needed) 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
and drop off water station tables and supplies.
Clean Up Team: (10 needed) 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
