Race Start Address: 11311 Santa Ana Road Ventura, CA 93001 

From the south (Los Angeles):

  1. Take the 101 Freeway north to Ventura
  2. Take the 33 Freeway towards Ojai (starts as Freeway and continues as 2 lane road)
  3. After approximately 10 miles from the 101, in Mira Monte, look for a McDonald's, then a Taco Bell and then a Wendys on the right hand side of the road
  4. At the stop light immediately after the Wendys (Intersection of Baldwin Road (Highway 150) and the 33), turn left on to Highway 150 (Baldwin Road)
  5. Go west on Highway 150 approximately 3 miles
  6. Turn left on Santa Ana Road
  7. Entrance to Lake is within 100 yards of turning on right hand side

From the north (Santa Barbara):

  1. Take the 101 Freeway south to Ventura
  2. Take the 33 Freeway towards Ojai (starts as Freeway and continues as 2 lane road)
  3. Follow the directions for 4 through 7 above.

From the north (Carpinteria via the scenic route, narrow and winding in places):

  1. Take the 101 Freeway south to Carpinteria
  2. Take Highway 150 directly to Lake Casitas

 Turn by Turn Course description
 Start at Santa Anna Rd side gate of lake Casitas park area.Runners will come out of the park Cross Santa Anna Road, Head North on Santa Anna towards HWY 150, Turn Right on HWY150, Right at the Ojai Valley Trail that runs along Hwy 33, Follow the Ojai Valley Trial to Santa Anna Blvd, Right at Santa Ana Blvd, Right at Santa Anna Road, Left at the Santa Anna Side gait of Lake Casitas Park area, the same place we came out of when the race started. the last 4 miles will be along the dirt trails of Lake Casitas Park area. Finish inside the reserved Lake Casitas Park Area

Check in and Expo Area
 
Mile 2 ish, slight down hill
 
 
Mile 3, slightly up
 
mile 5 ish on the ojai bike trail
 
 
Turn around at big oak tree across the lake... look for the big red flag on race day, its 16 feet tall !
 
Finish line area, next to the expo area of the park.  start and finish are the same location for both races
